Is a independent military force, often hired by nobles for many reasons. The King also pays them to help keep order and make sure the law is followed, they are not the Kings army or the city guard but are essentially respected and listened to just the same.

High Command

• Lord Commander: The supreme leader of the entire military force.

• General: Commands a massive legion or a specific region's entire defense force.

• Commandant: Oversees military academies, major fortresses, or logistical supply chains.

Officers

• Captain: A senior officer who commands a company (around 100–200 soldiers).

• Lieutenant: Second-in-command to a Captain, or directly leading a platoon.

• Ensign / Subaltern: A junior officer, often noble-born or fresh out of a military academy, lacking combat experience but holding authority.

Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) & Enlisted

• Sergeant-at-Arms: The senior NCO who maintains discipline and handles the daily running of the troops.

• Sergeant: A seasoned veteran leading a squad of about 10 soldiers.

• Corporal: Second to a Sergeant, often in charge of a small fire-team of 4-5 people.

• Man-at-Arms / Legionnaire: The standard, fully-trained professional soldier.

• Recruit / Conscript: A soldier currently in training or drafted into the militia.
